Run the RockiesHappy Saturday! We seem to have gotten through our most turbulent May weather and June is starting out just like June should, sunny and beautiful. This morning, if you’re a passionate runner, you may have gotten up to run the 41st annual Run the Rockies Half Marathon or 10K. The race is run along the Ten Mile Recreation Path from Copper Mountain to Frisco, CO. If running early in the morning isn’t your thing, then come on over to Frisco between 11:00am and 3:00pm for our Rock the Dock Party! There will be music from Lola Rising, $6.00 burgers from The Island Grill and great company. What’s not to like about good food, good music and hanging out by the water?

After you’re done rockin’ the dock in Frisco, why not head over to Breckenridge at 3:00pm for IntrudeWAVE: Light + Water + Sound festival? This is a free exhibit put on by Breck Create and it is a feast for the senses. Today and tomorrow are the last days to check it out so hop on over there and see some giant bunnies!

Friso Town Clean UPTomorrow, get on over to Frisco for our Town Clean Up Day. It was rescheduled since Mother Nature brought us two feet of snow that week. Meet up with us at 9:00am on Mains Street near the historic park to pick up bags and assignments. Pick up the trash that’s been lying under the snow all season and then head on back to the historic park for some food and beverages served up by our Town Council members. We hope to see you there for some good “clean” community fun.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone! We’ll leave you with a little Lola rising to start the day.
