Fall Frivolity: Beauty, Builders and Bluegrass

September 18, 2016

It has been an incredible weekend and today looks to be no different with a high of 70 degrees projected and not a cloud in the sky! It’s the perfect day for being outdoors hiking, biking, fishing or leaf viewing. On Thursday, 9news even offered a great leaf viewing loop. Check out the video for details at 9news. If you want something else to do after your leaf excursion, today is day two of the Summit County Builders Association 22nd Annual Parade of Homes. The parade runs from 10:00am – 5:00pm today and next weekend, 9/24 & 9/25/16. Tickets can be purchased at City Market in Dillon or Breckenridge and will cost $15.00. There are amazing homes all across the county and you can pick up a guide or check it out online here, Parade of Homes.

Today is also the final day of the Breckenridge Film Festival. At 10:00am the day begins with “Best of Fest Part 1” at the Speakeasy Movie Theater in Breckenridge. Most events cost $10.00 each and conclude this evening at the Briar Rose for a Wrap Party from 8:30 – 11:00pm.

Another option for today, Frisco’s inaugural Fall Local’s Party and Brunch at the Frisco Marina. The event runs from 11 – 2:00pm and is billed as “a celebration of a well-played summer and beautiful fall, and will celebrate Frisco locals with ‘boats, bloodies and brunch’.” There will be $5.00 food and dink specials along with music from Meadow Mountain.

There are so many options for this Sunday! Get on out there and enjoy the day and maybe we’ll see you on the trail, at the parade or at the marina.
